Frequently Asked Questions
Do we offer same day appointments?
Due to a high case load, we often are unable to offer same-day appointments for routine care or vaccinations. However, in the event of an emergency, we will make every effort to assist your pet. Please call our office for scheduling assistance, (352) 860-2441.
What species do we treat?
We are a small animal practice specializing in canine and feline medicine and surgery.
Do we offer boarding or grooming?
At this time, we do not have the ability to provide boarding or grooming on the premises. However, there are several facilities throughout Citrus County.
Do we require appointments for nail trim or anal gland expression?
Given that these procedures are performed by trained veterinary technicians, we do request the courtesy of an appointment in order to provide timely customer service to our clients and their pets.
Does my pet need to be seen to get flea, tick and heartworm prevention?
We carry several types of prevention that we feel are the most effective and convenient options. However, these preventions are prescription and therefore, by law, any pet receiving this medication must be an active patient meaning they must have a current examination (within the last year) and recent negative heartworm test.
Are we accepting new clients?
At this time, we are accepting new clients on a limited basis and by referral of existing clients only. If interested in establishing care, please complete the New Client Paperwork and the Financial Policy & Release Form.
Do we see emergencies?
We understand that emergencies are unpredictable. Therefore, during business hours, we work hard to accommodate all patient’s needing care. We will make every effort to see your pet during business hours. If your pet needs emergency care, please call our office promptly for guidance on how to proceed.
